| | Battle Theme from Tales of Symphonia | ] | Traded in Spidey 2 for some in store credit at Hastings earlier today. I =was= gonna pick up the Megaman Anniversary disc...but Tales of Symphonia called out to me.
I only have 48 cents in my bank account now, but I'm not complaining. ToS is sweet. It's...very beautiful to look at, and the voice acting is spot on. I even recognize a few of the voice actors, though I can't seem to place any roles as of now. Gameplay is...different. The battle is real time-ish, and the other members of my team are controlled by the computer...yet the AI is excellent. I hardly ever have to worry about being healed when I need it.
And, of course, I can't stress the beauty of this game enough. Eye candy galore. Not a whole lot of fanservice so far, though. ...I don't know if I'm pleased or disappointed by this, though. I'll get back to you.
...each minute spent around my many nephews and nieces only confirms the fact that I *never* want children. I don't mind babysitting, or playing with them...but I can always give them back to their parents. I don't want to be the one that has to take the child back. Anyways, I plan on living forever, so children aren't really neccesary for me.
My niece is still cute as a button. She's smart, too. She can turn the cute on like a light. My father is wrapped around her little finger, the tough old redneck that he is. It's as if she could wield cute like Luke wields the Force. It obeys her every command...hell, she can take three steps and sit down, and every eye in the room will be drawn towards her. It's almost too much for a person to take...
Only a month before I go back to college...only a month... |

| | Chrono Cross - Main Theme | ] | I have a terrible sunburn. I really need to remember to use more sunscreen, but I never seemed to burn as a child, and I haven't been able to cure myself of that particular mindset.
Anyways, I have a sunburn, and I can't wander around shirtless because I haven't told my father about my new peircings, and I'd prefer to be back at college before he found out. My dad can be cool at times...but occasionally his redneck comes through, and I'd rather not risk it, especially since my nipples are still healing (I can just picture him reaching up and giving me a purple nurple right after I've told him).
In addition to the sunburn, I've given myself a stupid blister... It's been so long since I've done actual hard labor my hands have gone all soft. It's now official, I'm a "City Boy". Oh well. Shoveling dirt is good excersize, and I'll need to build up some calluses before the fall semester starts. Some of those pencils can be rough on your hands.
On another note, I picked up a rather decent little game the other day called "Future Tactics". As the name implies, it's a turn based strategy game, but in full 3d, with a dash of Worms thrown in. A little tough at first, especially with the funky aiming system, but it's fun and addicting, as all good games are, and it's not so tough that my nephew can't play a few rounds. Although he tends to die rather quickly, but that doesn't bother him. I picked up Spiderman 2 for the GC the day after the move opened (great flick, if a little "B movie-ish". The Chain Scale over at www.toshistation.com gave it a full 6 chains, and I have to concur.), and while a great game, it gets old rather quickly...but I'm in luck! Hastings is offering $30 in store credit for Spidey 2 games, and the Mega Man Collection runs about that much...I should get much more enjoyment out of that...at least, I hope. |

| | naughty | ] | ...my god that was embarrasing. Reading through all of my old entries...the pain.
Well, after a lengthy sabbatical (read: I forgot this was here) I guess I've come back to my LJ account. I'm a little older, a little wiser, and have long since moved off to college.
I guess I should say, the only reason I'm unburying this old journal is because, frankly, I need the practice. I use to consider myself a writer of sorts, but as of now I'm back to wannabe writer status, as I haven't gotten any serious writing done in quite a while. And, I thought that trying to regularly post in an LJ would be a good way to brush up on my skills, and help a little with my lack of motivation.
Well, in case anyone is interested, my new email is wyzard(underscore)of(underscore)badass(at)hotmail.com
I kinda lost track of my old one.
Oh yeah. And another note, I've finally gotten my nips peirced.
Ouchy. |
